It would be a formal place designed in the round for sacred Lakota ceremonies like Inipi (Rite of Purification or sweat), some activities associated with the Wiwanyag Wachipi (Sun Dance), Chanunpa Wakan (The Sacred Pipe), Nagi Gluhapi (Keeping of the Soul) and others.
